Description:
This painting of fisherman working, probably at a Rockport
pier, is most interesting. It appears to be a wood cut but in
fact is a gouche painting with strong blues, golds, and gray
coloring. A great gold frame adds to its appeal. Brown was a
Rockport Art Assoc. member from 1930 until his death in 1946.
It is signed on the lower right.
