Description:
Here is a wonderful painting in oil on panel of a mother and
child crossing the ice. She is also holding an infant in her
arms. I am sure this is an American painting. It is signed in
the lower right but very difficult to read. It looks like F.
Paye or n... The wood panel indicates the painting came from
the Ernst Studio in Newport, R. I. There are fragments of old
exhibition labels on the back. A great small painting with
wonderful emotion. Painting itself is 6 1/8 by 8 1/4.
